Ramadan is almost here,
I sat to reflect on why the month upon us is so blessed
And I found out that I can't comprehend. It's just Allah's mercy on his servants.
Ramadan comes with a lot of sacrifice despite that we anticipate it so much.
The fast is not just about not eating but to nourish the soul
The Qiyam ul layl with Taraweeh is not just about praying but to reconnect.
The Qur'an recitation is not about just reading but to feel deep depth about our purpose
Despite all these,we long it
We anticipate it
We yearn for it
This is expected of a muslim who has found one thing or the other in the blessed month.
My question is........
WHY CAN'T WE MAKE EVERDAY OF OUR LIVES OUTSIDE THE GRACIOUS MONTH BE LIKE OUR LIVES IN RAMADAN?
Why do we have to wait for Ramadan before embarking on the journey of the night, and immediately after it goes,we feel we have gotten to our destination?
Why do we have to wait till the next to perform the extensive obligations when the daily lives of a muslim should be as it was in Ramadan?
